red flags don't bother me anymore, not when i have fallen in love with doctor medical malpractice himself. after losing quite literally almost everything, what more else could doctor manslaughter possibly gain to lose? he's a jigsaw apprentice, the man john kramer builds up in his image - that is apart of his purpose, his rebirth; but for a laugh, let's throw a pretty young thing in his life and find something that would be worth losing once more. enter scene: dumb australian who thinks older men are really hot. we meet at his workplace, and upon first sight it's already game over (badum tss). like a moth to a flame, two deeply broken souls that can finally heal and mend once conjoined and melded together. each other's swan songs, his accomplice. we don’t need to hide, we will drown into one another and love each other into flame.

outcasts finding the homes they truly longed for in one another? it’s more likely than you think. we meet by chance at a wrath of the gods local gig, adam’s there more so out of obligation and the promise of being paid by capturing photos of the show; how much will scott pay him for this? not much, but hey, whatever pays, and if he had backed out last minute it wouldn’t have brought us together. chipped black nail polish, crumbling shithole of an apartment with peeling wallpaper and he’s a nihilistic metalhead to boot - yeah, obviously i need him. laughing at shitty horror flicks at 3 am and having our fill of pizza; who knew life could be so comfortable when one wasn’t raging at it.

the nerdy, star trek obsessed, comic book collector, paranormal investigator of my heart. put two spiritually paranormally inclined clairvoyants together who just so happen to have many things in common and you’ve got something electrifying. steven and i meet through elise, she sees potential in me and wants me on the spectral sightings team. specs and tucker don’t have many complaints, a girl they can ooh and aww at in the flesh is as good as anything, even when investigating the paranormal alongside each other. steven’s surprised at how charmed i am by him, and sometimes he’s a bit oblivious to it, but that’s what the help of a team is for (tucker croft and elise rainier to the rescue). we’ve got no need for pretences around one another, we can simply just be, and it’s both surreal and liberating.

broken beyond repair — or maybe not? a past drug addict comes across a current drug addict, and i really like to pretend that i’m not an addict, that i don’t have a problem; but, oh, i do, and mark’s well aware of it. he’s seen it so many times, has done this song and dance before. our first meeting is at a club in leith. mark renton can’t help himself when it comes to a younger woman, he has to know more, and he gets a little more than he bargained for. what’s a pretty face without a few cracks behind it? mark’s up to the challenge anyway. maybe the codependency we both form with one another isn’t exactly a healthy one, but we’re both past the point of caring. i look to mark with stars in my eyes, like he has the answers for everything and anything right there in the palm of his hand. falling in love with each other was easier than breathing; late night talks, finding relatability — someone who understands, mark stops me from falling, from drowning. we dj together at clubs once i’m clean, and we’ve both never felt so alive. the missing pieces, we finally found in one another.
